About Melissa
Melissa Matthay has been knitting beautiful sweaters since 1980. She has designed hundreds of knitwear garments, written seven books, and commissions for top international yarn manufacturers including: Cascade, Lane Borosesia, Missoni, Colinette and Tahki. She is available to teach knitting lessons nationwide.Design for Fit Workshop
Melissa has been a professional knitting designer for over 20 years and has owned yarn shops in Madison and New York. With experience and enthusiasm, she will show you how to take measurements from a favorite garment you already own and apply this to designing your own sweater from a catalog picture or idea. Topics include measuring, ease, gauge, schematics, and armholes. You will begin your sweater in the afternoon!
